Parisbond began developing vehicle approval capability in Cyprus at the start of the 2000s and opened its SVA station in 2001. Today, the Larnaca SVA Test Center supports imported-vehicle approval with an experienced team and dedicated inspection equipment.

Groundwork begins
Parisbond opened communications with the UK Ministry of Transport about creating an SVA station in Cyprus for vehicles destined for the UK market.
The station opens
After UK approval of the construction and technical operation, the centre opened on 1 July with British-trained personnel.
BIMTA membership
Parisbond became a BIMTA member and contributed to work relating to the UK–Cyprus SVA vehicle corridor.
Cyprus SVA framework
Following Cyprus joining the European Union, the national SVA scheme began operating in October 2004.
Ten-year milestone
The centre marked a decade of continuous vehicle testing and certification work.
Twenty years
Two decades of contribution to the imported and used-vehicle market in Cyprus.
